What is this option?
Take control of your adventure! With a Tour-KC Custom Tour, you set the agenda while I handle the driving and logistics. Whether you want to dive into Kansas City’s history, explore the food scene, or venture beyond the city limits, this option is built entirely around your interests. It’s especially helpful for international visitors who may be less familiar with U.S. roads, language, or customs, but who want a trusted local guide to create a seamless, memorable experience.
How does it work?
It’s simple: just give me a call at (816) 343-8931 or email Dan@Tour-KC.com with your ideas. Share what you’d like to see or do, and I’ll make recommendations to help shape the perfect plan. I’ll then put together a customized itinerary and send you a quote. On the day of your tour, I’ll pick you up at your preferred location and guide you through KC—and beyond.
How long are the tours?
Custom tours are built around an 8-hour block of time in a single day (you don’t have to use all 8 hours). However, multi-day tours to outside the KC metro are also available. In this instance, the price is just the daily rate times the number of days plus additional fees for each over-night hotel stay that depend upon the price of hotels in the desired area. Anything within driving distance is fair game, and options for shorter trips, extended outings, or overnight stays for travels outside the KC metro can be arranged upon request.
What are the prices for this style of tour?
Pricing is based on group size. A single-person custom tour starts at $250 for 8 hours, with each additional person just $75 more. Prices subject to change based on specifics of the tour. For multi-day tours, the prices are the same and applied towards each day of the tour.
